Won by a pupil from the school at the DYW LED Step into Future Jobs Event, this was the follow-up deliver to engage and train 35 pupils on the importance of managing their finances in the modern world. Set up as a really engaging and interactive workshop, DYW Programme Executive Scott Purdon joined a further 8 contributors from the local business world to act as mentors and support on the day for the sessions.
The workshops included everything from buying your first home and car to the pitfalls of losing your job due to a downturn in the economy. The young people taking part enjoyed the day and were able to give Brachan Consultancy founder Shona Cowan some great feedback, as she is also moving the workshop online through an App with the support of Strathclyde University.
