DYW LED was delighted to see another one of our High Schools take up the amazing offfer from the British Gas Centrica teams, to understand the careers & pathways opportunities attached to the businesses at the Uddingston site. ✅
What started with an idea to engage with more schools and the simple goal of creating a space that gives non-customer-facing teams, pupils, and external visitors a real, hands-on understanding of what it’s like to work on heating systems in the field, has now led to an engaged workforce, able to deliver bespoke events for local schools. ✅
Thanks to the incredible support of Karim Awadia and Haydn Hughes, and engineers like Paul Martin in the operation; several of our DYW LED High Schools and now been able to see this idea in full flow with many supporting departments. ✅
It’s been a real team effort, and thanks to the HR, Recruitment, Contact Centre, Smart Metering, White Goods and Electrical Support teams, for pulling together events the business can be proud of pioneering. ✅
