It’s day 2 of Gas Safety Week, and the team at Gas Certification Company Limited are doing their bit to keep the nation safe by delivering a series of training workshops to 4 of our DYW LED high schools from Hamilton Grammar, St John Ogilvie, Duncanrig and Calderside Academy.
Day 2 is the turn of Duncanrig and Hamiton Grammar High Schools, and on top of the Gas Certification Training Team pulling out all the stops to engage and educate over 4 training workshops in the Gas and Renewables sectors, we were also interviewed for a feature in the Hamilton Advertiser to highlight the importance of Gas Safety Week.
Natural Gas, Legislation, the Science involved in heating your home, Renewables, Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar were just some of the subjects covered with the pupils and they loved the interactive elements thrown in by the team, which included the use of blow torches and smoke pellets to test flume efficiency.
This has been a great initiative by the Gas Certification Company, to kick of their partnership working with our schools and the team, and we can’t thank Andrew McNab, Joanne Kelly and Sarah-Jane Glover enough. for hosting a great day for the pupils.
