DYW LED was delighted to have supported the mentoring process again this year with a student from a local high school, but the support required and the number of young people Career Ready is looking to impact does not stop there. Now in our third year of mentoring support, Scott Purdon, the Programme Executive for South Lanarkshire schools, has highlighted the importance of getting behind the new #1000Futures in Scotland Campaign. Career Ready is embedded in schools all across Scotland and the charity is now looking to positively impact the lives of over 1000 young people in their new mentoring campaign for the 2024/26 cohort. If you see the message or your organisation can support the initiative, then please do not hesitate to reach out to DYW or our partners at Career Ready and join the mentors that are making such a difference to young people moving into the world of work for the first time. At Career Ready, they are on a mission to secure 1,000 mentors with a paid internship for young people joining our programme in the autumn, empowering #1000Futures. That’s why we’re launching the new campaign on socials, to inspire more employers to join the network of employers across Scotland who are empowering young lives.
