This was an extended invite for all Partners, DYW Coordinators and Deputy Head Teachers, to attend this joined event between DYW and Skills Development Scotland to continue to improve the positive destinations for our young people across the region and set plans for the next academic year. Following the recent funding review, ALL DYW Coordinators were requested to attend this event, to ensure there is at least one representative from each school in attendance.
We updated the group on upcoming positive destinations projects to share best practice, hear from employers, and partner organisations that want to support your schools DYW initiatives through activities in the academic year. The day started with a networking opportunity from 8.45 am and everyone was welcomed with breakfast rolls and tea and coffee to start the day before the main agenda kicked off from 9.30. am. These events are so important in our academic year planning and we hope all groups attending make the most of the day as they shape the future of the DYW agenda in South Lanarkshire for the next academic year.
