DYW LED was delighted to be invited by the amazing Anna Devitt to the South Lanarkshire Council schools pupils & tutor teachers Celebration Event.🎭
It’s been great to hear of the schools support on the region for the Comedy & Confidence™ brand, as The DirectDevitt Comedy Award offers the opportunity to learn how to use Comedy in presentations, public speaking and includes Laughter Yoga Therapy Techniques for daily coping mechanism.✅️
During the course attendees get to deliver chosen comedy styles and learn the body language, emotion and vocal techniques behind the style. 🎭
This course offers hands-on experience of public speaking & using comedy while learning transferable skills within communication and confidence techniques.✅️
By the end of the training the pupils & trained tutors from the school Groups from the likes of Duncanrig Secondary School, Calderside Academy Holy Cross, Hamilton were able to confidently describe how their skills and abilities have improved in: Public Speaking, Comedy Writing, Self-confidence, Communication Skills, Performance Skills and Self and Peer Evaluation. 🎭
Such amazing progress from all and great to see the presentation of the graduation certificates.✅️👏🏻👏🏻
