DYW Supports Education Scotland

August 28, 2024

Helped to support Education Scotland lead, Klaus Mayer to deliver an information and engagement session on how DYW supports and interacts with the education landscape to all newly qualified teachers across the South Lanarkshire local authority.

Delivered at the main council building in Hamilton, the impressive Banqueting Hall was the venue to inform the teachers attending taht DYW works in partnership with employers, encouraging them to play an active role in shaping Scotlandโ€™s education system. Employers can then help create and educate the talent pool they need, benefiting from the fresh perspective that young employees bring to the workplace.

Our aim is to create a culture of real partnership working between employers and education, facilitating employers to view themselves as co-investors/co-designers of the school curriculum to deliver the qualifications and skills industry requires. Delivered on the 16th of May, DYW hopes to continue to work with the teachers in attendance as they are appointed to new roles across the region.
