That's a wrap on the first DYW LED Step into STEM event for this year, with the amazing team at South Lanarkshire College. 🙌🏻
With over 40 employers signing up for this event, it never lets us down with the hospitality, planning & interactive STEM workshops set up by the college teams and our partner employers.✅️
We have seen everything today from Da Vinci bridge building to a VR Tour of the Forth Bridge & it's been an inspirational experience for our young people to see how STEM is applied in so many Career's & Sector's.👩‍🔬👷‍♀️
We even had the hospitality of a fabulous 2 course lunch.😋
Thanks again to all our contributing employers and partner South Lanarkshire College.👍🏻

@dywled is one of 50 exhibitors here tonight for all pupils, parents and guardians, so come down to check the event out from 6.30pm to 8.30pm ✅️

It's launch event day for our @bothwellfutures & D

It's launch event day for our @bothwellfutures & DYW LED schools Employability Support Programme for 40 pupils from Uddingston Grammar & Holy Cross High School.👩‍🎓👨‍🎓
Taking the lead today, was the team from @princes_trust_scotland_ who led the pupils on an amazing introduction into the skills, behaviours and transferable skills required to form a great CV & interview. ✅️
It was then over to the teams from Laing O'Rourke & NHS Lanarkshire Employability to bring this to life, with the real life examples of recruitment pathways and skills required for their Apprenticeship Programmes.✅️
Today has been the start of the journey and with Kirsten Stepien & Kevin Nolan introducing an "Enterprise" activity, we hope to get more of our connections involved for career pathways in Workshop 2.✅️

DYW LED was delighted to attend Cathkin High School this morning to see an engaging "Business Startup Workshop" being delivered from the team at @inspirent_ltd. ✅️
7 students from the school are about to embark on their first year entering the Young Enterprise Scotland Company Programme and are excited to be setting up their enterprise business.👩‍🎓👨‍🎓
Today has been the first milestone of learning delivered by Eloise McNeaney, Lorraine Maginnis & Keith Parsons and we hope to see the team in the finals in March. 🙏

DYW LED is delighted to set up working partnership links with The Indigo Childcare Group and 3 of our East Kilbride High Schools.✅️
Indigo has been helping families for over 25 years to give their children and young people, the best possible start in life.✅️
This is a great opportunity for pupils from Calderglen High School, Duncanrig Secondary School & St Andrew's & St Bride's to learn all about their services in Early Years Childcare, Out of School Care Mobile Creche & Youth Services.✅️
We can't thank Jacqueline Lamb and the team enough for supporting the schools and creating a pathway for our young people to gain experience in learning & childcare services.🙌🏻
